पैसिव वॉइस: आज्ञा, प्रश्न और मोडल

Passive Voice: Imperatives, Questions, and Modals

(Imperative Sentences)

आदेश (Order) या सलाह (Advice) वाले वाक्यों को 'Let + object + be + V3' से बदलते हैं। यदि वाक्य में विनती (Request) हो, तो 'You are requested to' का प्रयोग करें।

उदाहरण

आम गलती

💡 अगर वाक्य में 'Please' दिखे, तो बिना सोचे 'You are requested to' लगा दें। नकारात्मक आज्ञा के लिए 'Let + object + not + be + V3' का प्रयोग करें।

मोडल वर्ब्स (Modals in Passive)

Modals (can, should, must, may) वाले वाक्यों को पैसिव में बदलते समय 'be' जोड़कर क्रिया की तीसरी अवस्था (V3) लगाते हैं।

उदाहरण

आम गलती

💡 सूत्र याद रखें: Modal + be + V3।

प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य (Interrogative Sentences)

प्रश्नवाचक वाक्यों में 'Helping verb' को Subject से पहले ही रहने दें। Wh- शब्द (What, Where) वाक्य के शुरू में ही रहेंगे।

उदाहरण

💡 पहले वाक्य को साधारण (Assertive) बनाकर पैसिव में बदलें, फिर Helping Verb को आगे ले आएं।

English version — Passive Voice: Imperatives, Questions, and Modals

This part of Passive Voice focuses on non-standard sentence structures. Hindi-medium students often struggle with 'Let' or 'Request' based sentences. These are frequently tested in exams via Error Spotting and Sentence Improvement questions.

Imperative Sentences

Sentences expressing orders or advice are changed using 'Let + object + be + V3'. If the sentence expresses a request, use 'You are requested to'.

Examples

Common mistakes

Modals in Passive Voice

When converting sentences with Modals (can, should, must, may) to passive, add 'be' followed by the third form of the verb (V3).

Examples

Common mistakes

Interrogative Sentences

In interrogative sentences, keep the helping verb before the subject. Wh- words (What, Where) remain at the start of the sentence.
